Up to Donington with hubby for Ron’s Race school as we have many times before, only this time because of Covid our premier inn restaurant was shut. Quick google search and read of a few reviews led us to Castle Grill. Took less than 10 mins to get there which was a bonus. Place looked clean and well kept. Greeted by a lovely man who took our order. Had to make a quick dash to coop across the road for cash as they don’t take card. Hubby had meat feast pizza and I had chicken kebab. We also ordered chips. Pizza was well topped and base was delicious. 14” will keep us going for at least a week ;-) and the kebab was spectacular. The kebab bread was the best I’d ever tasted. We had driven up from Devon and ordered while we were starving so ended up with far too much. Hey ho! Only negatives were the chips, could have done with another few mins in the fryer as they were very pale and a bit soggy and they forgot my tomatoes and cucumber on the kebab. But don’t let these minor things put you off. It’s great food with great customer service. If we are able to come back to Donington we would definitely order again.

At Donington racing this weekend, ordered Thursday night and ordered again tonight (Saturday) one of the best kebabs I've ever had, wayyy better than my locals. 100% would order again. Cheers lads
