The outside of the pub is nothing special and with no garden and in a backwater road it didnt seem to be anywhere special. How wrong we were. After having a personal recommendation and reading excellent reviews on Trip Advisor we decided to give Sunday Lunch a whirl here. We certainly weren't disappointed. We went in the side door by mistake but once we found the restaurant we were given a genuinely wonderful warm greeting. We were booked for 12:00 (as they were fully booked and could only squeeze us in then) the spread of food at the carvery was incredible. Beef, lamb, pork and turkey with an array of vegetables, Yorkshire Puds, Stuffing and sauces. As much as we wanted. You can even have a slice off each joint if you want! Everyone was SO friendly and genuinely wanted us to enjoy our lunch and have a good time. The meats were all slow cooked and mouth wateringly tender. The dessert table was packed with home made desserts and you can help yourself to whatever you want (if you've got any room left?!) & there's a huge jug of cream to pour on top! We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed a tasty Carvery at the Castle Green on Saturday evening. The food was excellent (meat very tender) All the staff were friendly and the food was reasonably priced, will certainly go again when back in Lampeter. Glandwr
Where do I began? This was quite possibly the best Sunday roast I have ever had and with out a shadow of a doubt the best in West Wales! Mavis was absolutely lovely and so funny and the rest of the staff were wonderful. The food was fantastic, the meat was melt in the mouth and the vegetables all freshly cooked. Oh and the desserts were to die for, absolutely fantastic a wonderful selection I would of eaten the lot if I could! All in all an amazing lunch and I guarantee that the next time I'm in Lampeter I will be back and bringing friends!!!
Not very pretty outside BUT! Inside a veritable aladins cave. The front of house are fantastic and the food was to die for. If you live in the area it is a must frequent restaurant. 10/10 bravo
