Visited in 2018 and wasn't very impressed, however now live in the area and its the nearest pub that serves food, so thought I'd give it another shot! And boy am I glad I did! The 2nd time of visiting around a month ago I got lasagna and it was seriously the best I've ever tasted, cooked to perfection! Visited again and tried the fish and chips as can be seen in the photo and yes that is brown sauce (don't judge) soft flaky fish, crispy batter, fluffy chips and the home made mushy peas... Only thing missing was a bit of fresh lemon, hey I can live without that, absolutely delicious.

The food and drink were excellent I had lasagne & salad with a side order proper chips 'non of your frozen muck and my grandson had beef mince stew & dumplings which was also excellent and the staff were meticulously stringent with hygiene in these unsettling times I would go back anytime.
Great food Great staff really friendly atmosphere. Definitely recommend the light bite menu
Great atmosphere, lovely staff and good food (heaps of it!). Steaks are well done only, but otherwise you only need one meal on the week you visit!
