Visited as we were staying just up the road. There are lovely views from here & a free car park just across the road. Not much here, but was nice to visit & watch the herons for 5 minutes.

Lovely quiet spot, nice walk around the hills to enjoy the views.
5 star drive and scenery. We loved the drive to the castle, its one of the most beautiful drives we made in Scotland. There is a loved picnic park just attached to the castle grounds and the view to the lake and surrounding hill is fantastic. When we went there the castle was closed for renovation so we could not visit.
Its private property so you can only go as far as the perimiter fence. There is a community information board at the roadside which does have some of the history explained, but its been up for a long time and it's a bit faded, but just about readable. There is a decent size car park, and if you want to go further along Loch Goil you can do so but only on foot. There are some picnic benches on the grass between the road and the castle, and the views are great.
A wonderful place spent time sea kayaking sailing my mates boat and cycling amazing
