A really nice place for a quick bite and a little shop. They have a super nice Cafe with great staff, all you need for gardening, and a super clean and cared for fish shop. Perfect for an afternoon outing.
My mother and I enjoyed browsing and purchased a few items that we both needed today. We have had very positive experiences previously, so were disappointed when we had to endure a staff member on the tills who was very abrupt and rude to us both (it almost seemed as though they were angry at us for being there somehow!?). This lady came across as unfriendly, rude and unhelpful from the start.....not the kind of attitude we felt was in keeping with a customer facing role.
I have been to this garden centre on a number of occasions over the last 10 years. It is in a time warp. It is old fashioned and not well set out, it can be difficult to find what you want. The cafe food is OK but nothing special. On occasions the staff have been off hand and not very friendly. Some of the plants are on occasion in need of watering or indeed past it. I have been a keen gardener and been to many garden centres and nurseries and have seen better to be honest. I am sorry to say all this, but it is how I find this particular garden centre.
Lovely place for walk around. Lots of different departments, a couple of clothes shops, a coffee shop and a large garden centre. You could spend a day here. The Christmas displays are lovely too.
