The county is divided into 58 electoral wards returning 74 councilors. Most of these wards are coterminous with communities. Most communities in Carmarthenshire have a community council. For each ward, councillors are elected to sit on Carmarthenshire County Council.

Workers shredded my outdoor lights and wiring while trimming the front garden grass.

Very poor. No real service to the community.

If Carmarthenshire is the garden of Wales then I can only imagine that Llanelli is the compost heap at the end of the garden. Has no one ever educated the younger residents as to what a bin is for. I have never seen so much rubbish around residential roads and on parks in my life. I have seen ccc staff picking up rubbish on the grass prior to it being cut but, by their own admission, do not clear the bits on the paths or road. It's amazing how much cleaner it looks on the other side of the river loughor.
