The vinyl flooring bought for the bedroom from Donaldson's a few months ago looks really good, but I have noticed it feels spongy under foot around the old hearth, so disappointed by the fitting advice from Donaldson's given the costs involved. (Indeed, I'm not convinced now about what virtue vinyl flooring has over laminate or other types of wood flooring in most of the house where water isn't usually implicated.)
