My sister was in cumberland infirmary for about 6 weeks before she died on her own in a room and was not checked. She was left in pain . They forgot to change her drips on 2 days for vitamins and fluid. The sister in charge told her she was not the most sick patient in there . She had just had an operation for a bleed in her stomach .

From arriving, prior to my op, post op recovery in ICU and ward. I cannot fault the care and attention I recieved. Everyone treated me with respect and the utmost care and attention. The equipment, and facilities were state of the art. The ward was kept immaculately clean. All the staff were fantastic. We would be in a very sorry situation without the Cumberland Infirmary
I have just spent 7 nights on the heart ward after being brought in by Ambulance to A&E on a very busy Saturday afternoon. It was very busy in A&E and there was a long wait, from the 111 service , ambulance, and all departments of the Cumberland Infirmary , Drs ,Nurses and general staff throughout , Thanks isn't enough, we should be thankful for the service we have in this country at this time.These are real people working to save lives NOT MACHINES\u003e
Discusting, blood on the floor in an apparently clean room. Severely understaffed. Nurses and doctors are too busy to 'care'. Its worth the drive to Kendal or even Lancaster or Newcastle. You will get seen and get better quicker.
