The area is stunning - but the Tourist office is not so good with my experience . Closed on Sunday! I could not believe it - a tourist office that is closed during the busiest day of the week for visitors? No cheap paper maps outside for people visiting while the office was closed. I came back on a Monday. Staff had not visited the sites for a long time (if at all). They need to get outside and explore the area more. They try to sell maps, so ask for the Free ones! Very commercial. You learn more by talking to the hill walkers.
If I could give more stars to Gerry I would. We are a family of 5 with children age 8, 11 & 13 and we joined Gerry for his walking tour of Carlingford this morning, he exceeded everybody's expectations, although we live locally we learned lots and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, a massive thank you!
It looks good but can't really say anymore about it as it is shut for the winter. It's a fine building though.
Super scenery from the very clean beautiful beach at Templeton. Good parking and toilet facilities. Then off to Carlingford for an amazing fish and chip from a street vendor's van. Wonderful day out.

This Tourist Office is unfortunately now closed. I was up there this weekend (Aug 2018 ) and was told it closed a few months ago. SO disappointing as it was a lovely Tourist Office and had been renovated in recent years with ramps, large window , modernised shop area etc.
Google says I was here. I wasn't. I drove past it.
