Was there this evening (Dec 28/19) 2 adults 2 kids. Service was great! Fish and chips possibly the best I’ve had in a really long time! Great local beers and great pub atmosphere! Highly recommend if in Carleton Place!

Food Poisoning. Myself, husband and step daughter went for dinner. My husband had a burger, and unfortunately...myself and step daughter had the fish. WE were both extremely sick at 2 am that morning. Clearly, there was some kind of cross contamination in the food..however, i did reach out to this restaurant and sent them a message telling them we were quite sick. Although they saw the message...they did not reply. A real class act. Don't go there!

I was exploring Carleton Place and asked the locals where to eat on a Sunday. Every one of them listed 'the pub' as the place to go. So, here I went! The front patio was open on an early spring day. The sun was super warm. They open their back patio (which was recommended to check out by the locals) on June 1st. Surprisingly, you can fit a lot of people in the pub! Nearly 40 on the back patio, 35ish inside and another 8 or 10 on the front patio. Beers - smattering of local and domestic. Good choices. I opted for the smokey crispy burger. It has smokey bbq sauce and some deep fried onions plus more fixings. It was good! Portions are healthy (or unhealthy ;). The nachos appeared to be popular. I might have to try them next time! Nice place, recommended. Wheel chair access: front patio only. One small step into the restaurant. Access to rear patio is 4 steps unless you roll through the front door!
