Went here for a birthday meal just before the most recent lockdown and had a lovely time! Great value for money, we opted for the 14 meat selection and struggled to even try them all! Friendly and prompt service, tasty food, great job adhering to social distancing rules. The sides were fab, the star for me was the feta cheese balls with honey! The grilled cinnamon pineapple was delicious as well. Really enjoyable meal, we just anticipated it to be a fancier restaurant and not all-you-can-eat vibes but the food was tasty and the service was great :)

Brilliant, soooo much food, if you have a big appetite and are a meat lover come here. Place to be. I have recommended this place to everyone. And the manager, sorry i didnt catch her name was brilliant, very helpful genuine and a real asset to that business. We were given complimentary proseco because it was our anniversary, everything was just top notch, meats, sides and service. Well done, next time we're in Cardiff will definitely go there again
I have been here before but even with some restrictions in place the atmosphere and service wasn't diminished in the slightest. The food was excellent, as always, and the service was superb. The prices are very reasonable as is the the selection of meats available - all of which you can have plenty of. Gotta say, loved this place.
So a work colleague told me about this shack. Decided to have a few days exploring Cardiff with my beautiful wife, and not so beautiful (yet passable) kids , and shazam! We found our hotel attached to this restaurant. Even after the eat out to help days were over, and we expected to get a table with ease, it took 7 attempts to book a table ( WAITING FOR A CANCELLATION), one call after another. Perseverance paid off, and we managed to get in. Well am I happy we did. What a different eating experience to the norm. All as described by the other reviewers on here. Too good, too tasty, too much, and VV different. One certainly needs expandable clothing Try the cocktails, I did more than once or twice. Fortunately alcohol does not affect me, only the trees I drive into afterwards (that was an example of my second favourite taste. The first favourite being meat, the second being bad). So if you get the chance, and you enjoy meat and pleasant atmos, then you have to give this place a bash. It will also help if you book a room in the Clayton Hotel. The doors are like 20 meters apart so there is no excuses for not overdoing it. :-)
Amazing staffs , wonderful service , I had numbers of special requests . And all requests were met. They have made the day of three Extremely happy adults and two children
