Could be a great nursery however they let themselves down with management providing VERY slow responses. The owner doesn't have a direct contact so you have to go through the general email account and wait a while for responses to usually important questions, if you try to call you don't get an answer so email is the next best thing. The floor staff are amazing however it is massively let down by the higher level management with their lack of flexibility and money grabbing antics. There is no flexibility with anything such as swapping days (not often) with plenty of notice this is understandable at times however it is a constant rejection which then ends up costing a fortune for days your child isn't even attending. The owner Andrea just refers to terms and conditions so your child is just a number to her she doesn't really care as long as she pockets the money. They will take every opportunity to rob you blind. Things should be done on a case by case basis instead of being told to read the contract you were handed 2 year's prior. Yes there is a contract however if you want to increase hours no notice is required if you want to reduce you need 4 weeks notice this method of business clearly illustrated to me that there is no actual considerations for parents increasing hours brings in more money for her. If you speak to other parents who have been here they will tell you the same thing and I have been highly disappointed with the level of communication and lack of flexibility. There are plenty of other reasonable nursaries who will not be so strict to enforce rules and have a bit more flexibility on a case by case basis which is why I have removed my child from this nursery to a more friendly owned one.

Absolutely fantastic nursery. Our 2-year-old started there about half a year ago for 2 days a week (Cardiff Bay) and on the days he isn’t going he’s asking and talking about the Green Giraffe and “my Courtney” and other staff. Everyone working there is super friendly and kind. If a child is upset they cuddle him/her and actually take the time and take them serious, the rooms are calm but fun, the food is great, and the activities very nice. Our son comes home happy and with new skills and words after every session, and has become so much happier in ‘crowds’ since he started at the Green Giraffe! They teach him many social skills, and even more important- they give him confidence. Would definitely recommend!

My little girl has been going to the GG for just over a year now, and has been full-time since August. She absolutely loves it and comes home with new skills and words every day. (She is coming up to 20 months old). Each day then children enjoy a combination of structured activities and free play, inside and out, and in her group these activities include chopping and tasting vegetables and fruit in the 'home corner', all sorts of fun in the 'messy' corner, free (unstructured) painting and drawing, as well as making specific art creations, and song and dance. The staff are just wonderful with the children, and are really flexible and helpful when it comes to parents' concerns. I also love the fact that the children get really healthy, home cooked food every day, as my little girl is a total monkey at home when it comes to eating (i.e. she won't). I have no other experience to compare this with, but from what I hear we are pretty lucky with the GG. I would totally recommend it. Post-script: my daughter is now all grown up and has been at school since September. She remained at GG right till the end, and I would not change a word of my review above. She loved it. I loved it. Just sad that time moves on (though she loves school too).
