The UK is terrible for broadband. It's the year 2021! When Openreach are finally expanding (should have started in the 90s) surprise, surprise, so are Virgin media. Unfortunately, many new build developments are locked into the OFNL network, which means neither openreach nor virgin can come onto site. This leaves the customer with no choice at all. The plans are very expensive and the speeds are dire. Yes, they run fibre into your home, but the backend network is slow. You just can't make this stuff up. It's as though, someone high up is determined to keep us in the dark ages.

I believe this is worrying times for the future as they are gaining a monopoly over new builds with their infrastructure. The fact there are only a handful of internet providers charging more money than generic competitors is a concern for people who are on average salaries. So far I'm not impressed with their greed and powerful status. The internet is a right, not a privilege!!!

What is their cancellation policy? THEY CHARGE 100% OF CONTRACT VALUE - meaning that you have to pay the remaining months of your contract regardless of circumstances e.g moving house or changing provider. This would mean that to cancel your contract would cost up to 350 depending what tariff you are on (e.g 12 X 28.99 349.88). Contacted OFNL and they have said that this is their terms with all their Wi-Fi providers. They have a monopoly on all new builds on our development and as such are taking advantage by not offering any option to cancel. Disappointing to say the least.

Moved into a new build about 2 years ago. Internet is expensive and very unreliable. Not many ISP's to choose from. I've tried two different ones and both are awful. Speed test shows that you're getting the speeds, but it doesn't actually deliver the speeds. Internet is constantly down or slow. A simple YouTube video buffers at 720p, impossible to play online games. For it meant to be Fibre to the home, I have to say it's worse than dial up. Hope in the future they solve this

Very poor service and support out of hours.
