I love Cardiff Central Library. It is such a safe, pleasant space. You can get all kinds of books. You can use their computers and printers. It has a Community Hub and a Job Help Centre. Best of all, the staff are magnificent. It is a credit to Cardiff.

Pleasant staff and a comfortable place to spend a while browsing. Used to be a quiet oasis right in the centre of bubbly Cardiff, now it’s where takeaway food is consumed with study desks full of people eating malodorous junk food, every surface covered in greasy residue. No restrictions on use of mobile phones mean it’s impossible to escape people bellowing at phones as if they don’t have a microphone. Perhaps management should visit another university city library like Bristol to get an idea of how to operate a library
