We loved our visit to the Captain’s Galley although we do remain a little baffled as to who is actually the captain of the ship, Jim or Mary? We suspect that in actual fact it’s their joint efforts that create the magic! We were welcomed like old friends and treated to a highly skilled culinary experience from both front of house and kitchen alike. Some memorable dishes but certainly the monkfish stood out especially. We will most certainly return again next time we’re in the area! I also had a good chuckle at whoever decided to place the shark’s jaws on the cistern in the gents loo! Someone has a great sense of humour! Thank you Jim & Mary. We’ll be back!
Lovely warm welcome from Mary and Jim. Excellent food. Fabulous fish dish with delicious sauce and vegetables. Loved the elderflower ice cream. Quirky, cool space. We had a lovely evening and are looking forward to taking our family another time so they too can enjoy the experience.
A magnificent experience of fishy opulence. Absolutely delicious food. Very attentive staff. The chef takes the order and enquires about your enjoyment or otherwise after EVERY course. Wish we lived 625miles nearer in order to frequent more often.
