Impressive site, well worth a visit, allow half a day to explore fully. Take a swimsuit & take a dip after all the walking. Coffee in visiters centre spot on
Beautiful apartments and prime location on the Island. Close to natural attractions but still quiet and tucked away. The owner is very helpful and friendly. If visiting Faial Island, highly recommend.
Can't say I enjoyed my stay at all. Room was full of all kinds of insects, that belong in the forest and not in your bedroom. Swimming pool was empty. Refrigerator was not clean and smelled even worst. WiFi not working. I can go on for a while... The only thing I know 100% sure, is that I never go there again.
We were staying at the 1st floor at Casa do Palheiro at the end of April 2013. Really nice place. Very quiet and cozy. Daily fresh bread near the porch. The owners are friendly and helpful people. The only request we had was resolved very quickly (we have asked for an additional heater, because April nights were rather cold).
