We really liked this restaurant! The owner is a local fisherman, they serve all kinds of fresh fish. The signature dish is a mixed fish platter for 2 persons (20). All fish dishes come with potatoe, sweet potatoe, vegetables and fresh fruit. The interior is kind of rustic, mainly big tables that you will share with other people if you come as a smaller party. Very friendly service, very reasonable prices!

Amazing restaurant with very nice and welcoming staff. Portion are huge, and food very good. It's a very typical local place. Don't hesitate to stop there for lunch or dinner, you will get good fish and meat, and catch of the day or daily suggestion. Price are lower than average on the island.
This is one of the best restaurants we’ve been in São Miguel. Not only was the food super tasty - we had the fish plate for 2 people (20) which is a great value for many variety of fish which could be enough even for 3 people - but also the staff was very kind. They even had live music in there! Come here if you want to spend a lovely evening.
It was amazing. Food was traditional Portuguese and the decor was historic. We had a wonderful time. The owner and family were charming and so friendly. Visiting from US we find we love the Azorian people.
True hidden gem. The food was amazing, the fish fresh and very tasty, same for the vegetables and the appetizers. Very cheap prices. The staff was extremely nice. Five stars! Must go if you are in the area.

An absolutely perfect way to end our trip to S Miguel. Unbelievable cuisine, incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, and a cozy atmosphere to enjoy our meal in. The quality and presentation of the food is perfect and the wine was delicious. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through the Capelas area
We loved it here! Our family dined here on a whim - not wanting to stray too far from our hotel. We had a fantastic experience. Got there on Saturday night at 8 pm and the place was packed. We immediately felt welcomed, as the staff quickly attended to us and shuffled things around to make sure we could enjoy a meal at their restaurant. The four of us ordered three dishes: mackerel, sardines, and squid. (Squid was to die for) Each dish was delicious. The seafood was all cooked to perfection and all the sides were delicious. We even loved the fruit on the plate which was a great palate cleanser at the end of the meal. Portion sizes were perfect and prices were very fair. Highly recommend this place. We will return during our stay in sao Miguel.
