Beautiful nature reserve. Lovely walks & well looked after. A park area for children. A bird hide by the water to watch the birds. Big car park. A lovely afternoon.

I visited my daughter in Leigh on Sea for a couple of days in mid September. We had a good walk around the reserve with views of Little Egrets, a Hobby, Kestrels, various dragonflies and butterflies on the wing.
RSPB site. Canvey Marshes with good parking and well maintained paths that are wheelchair friendly. Good for dog walking and bird watching (if that's your thing) or just for a stroll. Picnic tables are scattered around, but a lack of bins is a bit of a problem.
Nice for a walk. Not many birds around at this time of year.
