The lecturers on the Multimedia Journalism course (I can see some of the same still conduct the courses) didn't seem to care about the welfare of the students whilst I was at the university. Whilst taking the course my Nan who I was extremely close with was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. Rather than support me when I told them, my lecturer asked me if I thought I should continue as a journalist!? It was heartbreaking to hear and impacted me for many years (lecturer is still present at the uni). They would also not give me any extensions on my projects when she died. I had a male friend on my course who has depression too, but who was constantly given extensions and even allowed to retake the year for free - take what you will from that! In my opinion, lecturers picked their favourite students and invested their time in those people and ignored the rest of us who they'd deemed inadequate. I am now a successful journalist and I absolutely do not credit CCU for a single one of my achievements, not one. The University hindered me and furthered my depression and anxiety for years. I am now in a much happier place but wanted to share my experiences with others who may be considering the course - find a better uni with kinder lecturers. I wasn't strong enough at the time to report it, and that is something I'll always regret but I hope somebody else can avoid a similar situation, espeically when we pay the amount we do for it..

This is a fantastic place of university learning for everyone. State of the art facilities in the heart of Canterbury.
The place is a good place to study, however, if a lecturer told you that you will not graduate, you will not! Pam and her partner from the ODP department work together to frustrate some certain students! I am not the first to say this, neither will I be the last. Someone should check this out

i send to many email in Canterbury Christ Church University but university staff don't give me any email reply. after 6 day he give me reply..its take to long time in replay its not solve to student problem and not support to Indian peoples.Very little support from staff. I would not recommend this university to anyone. my many friend study in UK University and all University give replay one to two business day..but this CCCU never not give your Email replay in within one week. Please Dear friends I wouldn't waste your money. You get delayed email replies as staff always claims to be busy
