I had four cats are on the Purrplan plan - 2 juniors and 2 seniors. One passed and my other senior recently got sick. The claims process was so smooooth. I heard back in less than 24 hours and reimbursed by e-transfer. I have the Umbrella plan on my four cats and highly recommend it. I have amazing coverage for a very low cost. Cannot recommend Purrplan enough. I know they've made UI improvements and will continue to.

I can't say how pleased I am with Purrplan! Insurance companies are usually a pain to deal with - well, not them. Reasonable rates, prompt responses, transparency. I have filed two claims so far and I don't have a single complaint to make. 10/10!
We purchased insurance when we got our kitten, thinking it would be a good idea. Everything I read about pet insurance from other companies sounded convoluted and expensive, and prices went up as your pet got older. Purrplan didn't seem that way, and when we made a claim there was no hassle and the money was in our account 3 days later. Also they were very responsive to any questions I had. I would recommend them to anyone.
My cat Larry had to go into the vet for an emergency x-ray, and I just wanted him to be okay so I let the vets do everything that they thought might help him, so of course we were stuck with a big bill. We filed our claim with Purrplan online and needed to provide the invoice, a form filled out by the vet who treated Larry, and Larry's medical history. Purrplan accepted our claim and reimbursed us, and Larry is happy and well. There was a bit of back and forth over email trying to get the right forms submitted, but other than that it all went smoothly.
I definitely recommend Purrplan for your fur babies. The premiums and coverage are fantastic and very affordable. They are quick in responding, and submitting a claim is quick and super easy. I adopted a young adult cat in early November and signed up for purrplan (with umbrella coverage) after a friend recommended I look into them when I mentioned I was thinking of getting my cat insurance. In early December, my cat was not acting like his usual self so I took him to the vet (he had gingivitis). He got bloodwork done and needed medication. I submitted my claim over the holidays and it was approved in less than 24 hours. It actually took less than two hours to be approved after I sent in the invoice I had forgotten to attach to the original claim email. Really good customer service, I’ve actually recommended it to a friend who just adopted a kitten.
When I first signed up for Purrplan I was a bit hesitant as I felt it was too good to be true. I canceled my previous insurance with another provider because I was paying 4 times as much with a higher deductible and copay. Switching over to Purrplan was the best decision I made for my cats! I purchased the Umbrella plan as well so when one of them got sick last week Purrplan was there to help me financially and process my claim smoothly and efficiently.
