I recently returned from a South Carolina to California trip and among the places I had wonderful visits to were the LBJ Ranch, Monument Valley, the south rim of the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas, the Golden Gate Bridge and the site of my favorite John Steinbeck novels - \Cannery Row\ and its sequel (my favorite novel ever) \Sweet Thursday.\ Cannery row here in Monterey, CA, turned out to be as I expected - and I was not disappointed! My two favorite stops were Lee Chong's grocery (still standing and open for business) and this monument to John Steinbeck. An unforgettable experience!See it!
