The Candon City Plaza as of now is clean better than before and more space, calamayan is already move to Trade Center Tablac Candon City
A 24-hour pasalubong store in Candon. One of best places to buy a "Kalamay" and many other palsalubongs. Kalamay is a sticky sweet filipino local delicacy that is very popular in the Philippines. It is made of coconut milk, brown sugar, and ground glutinous rice. It can also be flavored with margarine, peanut butter, or vanilla. You can also buy the famous chichacorn here. Chichacorn is a semi-popped style of cornick that uses glutinous corn, which is treated with lime before frying. The name is a combination of the words chicharon (crispy pork rinds) and corn.
Purchased a kalamay and not knowing that, it was already expired. White spots are noticeable and it shouldn't be sold if its already expired. Wasted 300 pesos for a expired kalamay.
Fresh calamay and cornick products. Very accessible place.. I wish the city government could improve the stalls though.
We buy our usual "pasalubong" here. Whenever we go to Candon, we make sure to bring back something for the people we left in Parañaque. Our favorite chichacorn is at the top of the list followed by kalamay and sukang Iloco.
Easy to locate, many varieties to choose from, always ready to serve.
