This was the first shop I ever went into in Farnham and how wonderful to feel such a very warm welcome, this shop really is different. My first observation was that the Manager who I learnt is called Lisa was engaging and equally welcoming to all the other customers there. I do not live in Farnham but have cause to be there every Monday, without fail I am drawn to go to the shop because of Lisa. Being drawn in invariably involves spending money!!!! The shop is displayed in an organised and inviting way with an ever changing stock, the prices are very reasonable. Over the months I have observed the relationship Lisa has with the volunteers, she seems to have the ability and the time to ensure everyone feels both valued and cared for as she does with her customers. As someone who has volunteered and who loves the charity shop experience I would say that Lisa is a truly valuable asset to Cancer Research and to the community as a whole. If I lived nearer I would want to volunteer there myself. A great shopping experience, a true advert for community.
