My Dad has been coming here for almost 50 years formally known as ICI.. playing snooker, bowling and tennis. We have been coming every month for a lovely lunch. Huddersfield Town A.F.C. train here and are making so many changes since they made it to the Premier league.
Great place to park before a Huddersfield match, get a beer (unless your driving), warm welcome and a few snooker tables to keep you entertained before a short walk to the ground. Been going here since the macalpine stadium opened. Saves a lot of trouble parking nearer to the ground.
Good food at an exceptionally reasonable price. Friendly, helpful staff. A chance you might meet the players and/or Mr Wagner, as we have in the past. Well worth the visit. Loads of free parking.
Called into Canalside for lunch. Very nice homemade meat pie, mash and mushy pies. There is a varied menu of hot and cold meals.
