Some interesting displays of maritime life around Campbell River. The highlight is the display of a restored fishing boat, the B.C.P 45. We had a very informative guide show us the boat and answer a ton of questions. The co-ordinates to their parking lot, for a GPS or map program are: 50.02054 N, 125.23691 W (Decimal), --or-- 50 1' 13.94\ N 125 14' 12.88\ W (Degrees, Minutes, Seconds )
Multifunction facility for museum and other functions.
This is simply the best place in Campbell River to pre vote. The museum is blocked off from the public but you can get a feel for all the marine artifacts on display. I particularly love this old fishing boat because it is on the five dollar bill. Makes me feel proud to live in this area. Never found the hours of the museum suitable. Had a good chance to see the inside when I voted last Sunday. Thanks.
Fascinating tour. If you can make sure you have a guide. Mine, Ted, had experience at sea and he could share his knowledge very vividly. Lots of insight into what it takes to get the fish to our dinner plates.
