Camino Shoreditch Reviews | Rating 4,2 out of 5 stars

Camino Shoreditch is located in London, United Kingdom on 2 Curtain Rd, Shoreditch. Camino Shoreditch is rated 4.2 out of 5 in the category spanish restaurant in United Kingdom. Shoreditch is the newest member of the Camino family. Inspired by the Castile y León region of Northern Spain, the restaurant and bar is vibrant yet relaxed, with a beautiful heated terrace for outdoor drinking and dining all year round.ocation is particularly special to us, as it was in Shoreditch that our first ever bar Cantaloupe, opened back in 1995. The neighbourhood sparked the DNA that then lived on in all of the restaurants and bars we’ve opened since, and we’re delighted to have returned home again after all these years.

Camino wasn’t too bad. I’ve had better tapas at London Bridge but maybe during these changing times, they are running a reduced menu... There weren’t many choices of beer on tap either but they do excel with mock-tails (see photo). The food they do cook is good though, we probably ordered one of everything, crispy potatoes, chorizo, calami was all nice. Churros for dessert.

NOT RECOMMENDED THIS BRANCH We chose to dine there because of they extended the eat out to help out scheme in September. It turns out we weren’t given the 10 off. When we arrived, we asked if we can have the normal table instead of high chair as one of our friends is not comfortable, but we were told the area is closed. The food was fine. The calamari were not crispy and most of the items are overpriced. But I would definitely recommend the pork shoulder - PRESA IBÉRICA. The service was terrible and not attentive. The gentleman who serves us keep chatting with his friends next to us without the masks on. No special measure for covid-19 as the General Manager, Lisa herself was’t wearing any mask. I have been to other branch of Camino and sure is better than this one. I also received a free drink voucher which I wasn’t sure is valid but seems like no one in the restaurant knows about it. They offered it eventually without mentioning the offer are not combinable. I mean they could have let us know ahead. Then we wouldn’t take those drinks as we already ordered drinks. And they were arguing the terms and conditions. If we have read those, why would we ask them at the first place? To be exact, the voucher only mention not combinable with offer which MAYBE available. The restaurant manager offered to take away the desserts charge but she could have saved all the trouble by giving the option at first. And now we have to pay for the drinks that we didn’t intend to order. Overall, It was a terrible dining experience.

This place was okay. A fair bit better than the tapas chains like La Tasca. If you're after a fun bar with spanish-themed drinks, this place will likely fit the bill. If you're after great tapas, might leave you lacking. The menu plays it safe, and all the food comes at once, unlike a lot of tapas restaurants, which means that some of what you've ordered will be cold by the time you get round to it. Some of the tastier small plates include the morcilla, and a surprisingly good tortilla. Desert was also a standout. That all said, service was pretty great.

Great night as always in Camino, and we were lucky enough to have Klaus serving us who was a pleasure. It never lets us down for great food and service.

Great experience! Such good tapas here. Relaxed atmosphere, great food and drinks. Our Italian waiter was really friendly and helpful and , by the way, the Rioja White wine ( that he recommended) it's an amazing choice! Definitely will be back!
