Hands down the worst facial I've ever had. Cold, clinical, overpriced, ill informed. At no point was my skin discussed. At no point was the treatment that would be carried out discussed. I completed a medical / skin concerns form which wasn't even looked at before starting the procedure. I paid 85 for a 25 minute treatment (and that's stretching it). Spend your money elsewhere there are so many other fantastic skin clinics in Cambridge.
I have been attending Brooklands Ave Skin clinic for some time now having a tattoo removed on my chest, the results are amazing it has nearly gone. Brilliant results!! There is absolutely no scaring what soever. Nathan is a great guy , always happy and has such a down to earth approach. I have always felt welcomed and the reception staff are lovely. Thanks to everyone for being so great Steph :-)
Did eight treatments over the course of twelve months. Although the result of the treatment was reasonable/expected, I am not coming back to Skin for the top up treatment for several reasons. 1. Lack of flexibility. After I paid for the treatment in full (which was a hefty sum) it turned out that the lazer machine had broken down and the treatment could not be started until two months after the agreed date as there was a staff shortage. I had to get to the regional manager to explain that it was unacceptable and I wanted a refund. The manager was very nice though. She sorted that situation out and materialised a technician to start the treatment. She also offered a complimentary treatment (I did not mention it at the clinic and staff there acted as if nothing had happened). 2. High staff turnover. I had a new technician treating me nearly every time I came to the clinic. 3. Not every member of staff did the treatment correctly. The very first treatment was a total waste. The technician spent half the time and impulses she had to spend for the treatment to be effective. It was so obvious that the clinic said that they would give me an extra treatment for free. Today was my free treatment and a new (yet again!) lady did the whole thing in 30 minutes whereas it has to take roughly an hour to be effective. I do not want to complain and explain why I am unhappy again. It is easier to find a more customer focussed clinic. To be fair to the clinic, some ladies were professional and pleasant (that's why the treatment had an effect.) Summary. I expected a different level of professionalism and customer care from Skin. It took way too much chasing/explaining/complaining to get things done. Not coming back.
A very bad experience of laser hair removal. No one at the clinic told me that you need to shave it at home one day before. A staff member who gave me the treatment said, I can do it for you this time. She didn't ask me how much area I need to cover. She shaved the area as I was there only for hair removal not for a better look. I am a girl and was there for a better look. It was my face and I felt very bad. Today 19 days are over and my condition can be seen in the picture. I felt a lot of embarressment.
