Great place to work and shop!! Sadly this is bitter sweet for me, I have worked in the shop for just over a year now and loved it, but have been offered a new opportunity abroad which I feel I can’t pass up. The team is amazing, the meat is second to non and the specialty items such as the Italian pasta and Cambridge made kimchi are personal favorites of mine. I would urge anyone with butchery skills/qualifications to get in touch as my job will be vacant very soon . Thank you to all the customers for making me feel welcome it’s been a pleasure! Andy

Operating a 3 in 3 out policy,you can safely buy all the meaty goodness you need and then indulge yourself with a good hearty fresh made fruit pie.Not just meat and pies though,there's tinned goods,drinks and a nice chat too.......and a post box just opposite!.
Update: Within an hour or so of leaving this review, the owner contacted me to make put this right. Absolutely impeccable service! I will certainly be using Cousins in the future! Thank you! Updating from 4 to 5 stars. Mostly quite happy with cousins. The gentleman on the phone was very patient and helpful. I had it delivered and the driver was prompt and very kind despite difficulties finding our place (which is admittedly tricky to find). The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because I requested steaks cut 1.5 to 2 inches thick but received cuts that were at most 1” thick. Willing to give it another go because of the stellar service but hoping that this was just a miscommunication.
Cousins is outstanding. Not just a butcher, the pasta, sandwiches, delicacies, and Sharon's phenomenal pies rightly draw in customers from all around. The selection of fruit and vegetables means that this is often one stop shopping. The Covid measures are impeccable. All of this is done with good will and care. A cornerstone of the community. This is what local shops are at their very best.
Full service traditional butcher. Excellent quality and service. They have always been there for me, ready to help with my special orders and odd requests with a smile. Including this celebratory goat in 2016. Cousins also stock specialty goods and fruits and vegetables. Highly recommended!
