The only important thing about the teleférico is getting up the top of the mountain. Nothing else matters. You may have to wait, it could get a bit overcrowded, disorganized... it doesn't matter. What does matter are the amazing sights and, of course, pictures you'll get once you're up there. They'll leave you speechless. Make sure to take a good camera with you and check the weather, fog can completely ruin this experience.

We had a really great experience. First thing I would say is whatever you do buy your ticket in advance if it is during a busy season. We went at the end of August. There were very long queues to buy tickets. The time slots don’t seem to make any difference at the end of the day. We booked for 9am and arrived before 9am. We joined the same queue as everyone else and nobody checked the time on our ticket. Get there early! The queue did get a lot longer after we joined it. We really enjoyed the fact that going early we were lucky to experience the whole area in low cloud. It made for some amazing photos! We hiked the Torre De Los Horcados Rojos trail (PR-PNPE-23) which was about 9km. Starting early it was not so hot and there were few people on the trail. We got to appreciate the views from afar with the low cloud over the mountains. We made the mistake of taking too many layers with us. It felt cold queuing for the cable car at the bottom so we assumed it would be colder at the top. Actually when the sun came out it was very hot so we ended up wearing shorts and a t-shirt and carrying our jeans, fleases and anoraks in our backpack. There are lovely views on that trail which is well maintained. We stopped for lunch at the junction to Refugio Cabana Veronica before continuing on to a lovely viewpoint. After the hike we walked an extra couple of kilometres or so to look at the Heidi house from afar. We returned to where we took the cable car back down. The clouds had cleared to see a spectacular view of the mountains which had been in the clouds in the morning. It was far busier at nearly 5pm with a lot of people who just took the cable car up and spent time near the cable car. The mountains are superb near the cafeteria but I would say it is worth it just to walk the trail around the corner to see some other great views near the Heidi house which are not very far away. This day trip surpassed our expectations!

It was an amazing experience!! We were lucky to go up with no lines at all because it was on a Tuesday. The views at the top are breathtaking and the trails lead to amazing places. The price of the teleferico is 17 up and down.

Beautiful place. Quickly transporting to up and down. Fantastic views on the top. You can also visit with your children. Buy tickets on site but not online. I recommend visit it
