We stopped in at the Weaselhead after voting to have a bite to eat. We weren't sure what to expect but went in with fair to middling expectations. At lunchtime on a Saturday, the place was mostly empty and we grabbed a booth. The menu is a pretty straightforward pub menu, but they did have phyllo wrapped saganaki, which was interesting enough to grab our attention. The saganaki was tasty, the phyllo was exactly what you want out of phyllo, and it was drizzled with honey, bringing a sweetness you don't normally associate with saganaki, but it worked extremely well. I opted for the old standby, a clubhouse on brown with fries. The fries are terrific and are obviously made in house. The clubhouse had great ingredients, but was advertised as coming on garlic bread, and it it was, I couldn't tell. Overall though, it was tasty, though the bread was a bit.. overtoasted. The partner went even more basic than I did, and opted for chicken fingers and fries. The chicken fingers here are delightful and have their own unique, flavourful breading rather than just being out of the freezer. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by the Weaselhead, and will undoubtedly be back when we're in the neighborhood. The above came to 47 before tax and tip.

Such a great neighborhood pub. Service is great, wings are delish, and the washrooms are super clean. I will certainly be back

The honey garlic wings are right wierd. They taste like lemon completely.. I think the chef needs to redesign the style. Honey garlic is my favourite, and those are the worst I've ever had, I had to choke em back. Because of your reply, I will give you 5 star but I do need to emphasize the choice in flavour is not good, it's so sour, and I don't think it should be assumed that customers want lemon wings when they order honey garlic. Thanks

Long time neighborhood bar. And was busy with obvious regulars. I Was here years ago and not to impressed. In the last few years they have renovated and it does look better now. First impression when i walked in was what is that smell???? Kinda like sewer gas. It does go away in bit after you get used to it. Service was a little slow guess cause, aI guess, I'm not a regular. Beer was cold and the "medium rare beef dip" was very well done and not much flavor. Fries were nothing special and the deep fried pickle and some melty thing garnish were..... I think it will be years again before i give the weasel head another try.

Monday and Wednesday but the best deal of the night is the steak sandwhich on Thursday evenings. Basically half off the menu price. Steve the manager is one of the best at his job. Total neighbourhood pub and the food is some of the best pub food Calgary has to offer.
