Amazing experience! Highly recommend choosing them for your next rafting/kayaking plan. Friends and I went kayaking yesterday and rafting the previous week. Friendly staff who explained everything well and cleared all our doubts. The staff also kept the equipment sanitized and ready for use. Overall it was a one-of-a-kind experience. Bonus - the views are stunning!

It was my first time rafting and had a very pleasant experience. All equipment were provided, including a safety kit. There was a briefing at the start for safety measures and guide which direction to paddle when you're about to reach the end. It was a good 2-3 hour ride along Bow River. We started at Shouldice Park and floated through downtown Calgary, and all the way down to St. Patrick's Island.
Why didn't I think of this business years ago?!? I've been swimming and floating down the Mighty Bow River for decades and this is the first time I've used a "Rafting Company" ... more like an "Awesome Company"! You do the thing on the Internet, Pay, Sign Some Stuff, Show Up, Check In, Get a Life Jacket, Quick Safety Meeting, Couple of Paddles, Your Very Own Sanitized Raft, and a couple of hours leisurely floating through this amazing city completely connected with the universe. At the end you just drop off your boat, paddles, and life jacket and wander back into the city. Perfect. 10/10 would float again.
We had a really great time on the small raft with our group of 4 adults and one child. The raft is super solid and strong and the staff at the Paddle Station and very friendly and encouraging. Of course, it is always hard to know the weather of a given day when booking in advance (and it is possible to change the reschedule -- for a fee perhaps) but that is life in this world. Thank you for the fun trip and being so flexible when we needed to reschedule guys! God bless you with great hope and joy! TD
Great company. Makes rafting super easy! Staff were chill, tried rafting down the bow 2 years ago and the hassle of pumping your own raft and figuring out rides at start and end with the raft is not worth saving a couple of . My only comment is it would lovely if there was a way to start the trip higher up the river! Had a great time, wished it was longer. *edit* A few days after our rafting session, I had a 50 charge to my credit card with no explanation as to what it was for. Called in to inquire and the lady on the phone said it was for the cleaning fee since we “left a mess" in the raft. She continued to describe a piece of chip and “something she didn’t even know what it was”. They take photos as proof and send them upon request which is great. There was a tiny piece of chip, yes. But if there’s gonna be a 50 charge for it, maybe it shouldn’t be stated that food is welcomed on the raft. Also, the end point of the ride is a sandy beach area. To me, the “unknown mess” is sand. I mean what else could it be. You can be the judge based on these photos they sent us. Especially in this covid era where they need to wipe and sanitize the raft anyhow, being charged 50 for them to spray off the natural sand from the river which they would have had to do anyhow, is absolutely ridiculous.
It was a really nice experience. Definitely I want to go again as soon as possible! The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I didn't receive much attention in the beginning. It was my first time ever kayaking down the Bow river and they give you some initial instructions and then take you to the river. But when I realized, I was by myself trying to prepare and start paddling. A suggestion is to have some posters with the important information so the ones that need to pay more attention, like me, can take their time reading it. And make sure that for those who are doing for the first time, that they have all information they need and that they are really good to go!
I booked a round raft for 4 of us to float the Bow River. The paddle station is located in Shouldice park past the pool and picnic tables. We had to wait in line to get checked in, have a safety presentation, get our gear and off we went! We had a great time. There were fast parts of the river and calm parts. The views were beautiful and the float to St. Patrick's Island was about 2 hours long. At the end we had to carry out boat up a hill to where the staff were so they could sanitize the equipment. Our only challenge was figuring out how to paddle a round raft without spinning in circles. It was a fun a afternoon and I recommend going with this company.
Absolutely love this place!!!! I’ve used them plenty of times and would very highly recommend. It’s a all inclusive raft trip, you walk up to the raft already in the water, float away and 3 hours later, you’re pulling in at the end point and literally getting off the raft, gathering your belongings and BOOM your done! No hassle of a raft or paddles to take with you! It’s awesome and I’m so happy we have a company like this in our city! Go Paddle Station
