Chill place to game generally quiet from my experience great place to introduce your friends to game and or just play. Drinks were nothing good but nothing bad

Great place to sit and game. Good drink selection and decent food options both in the cafe and surrounding area. Nice builds with enough privacy that as long as you're not sitting next to someone that is really loud you don't really notice.

This place is great if you're looking to game with your friends while actually being with your friends. It's a much different experience than relying on VOIP or chat programs to communicate with large groups of people while gaming. The staff can also be a lot of fun if you share the same gaming interests as them. Overall a fun place to spend a lazy day.

This is not a good place to play fps. Old gear, loud atmosphere, very poor peripherals like way too old to be even relevant anymore mine wouldn't even pick up most of my movements monitors are only 60 hertz you can't seem to change the graphical settings as they always revert back to the ultra settings for some reason would probably only be good for MMOs as they the only people in town they should really consider upgrading their gear. Would not return until they upgrade at least their mouse and keyboard (honestly unplayable)

Nice establishment. The PCs run smoothly and theres a good variety of games. My only complaint is that the chairs seem a bit outdated, but its not unbearable and the chairs are still comfy. It also smells kind of funky.

I remember the first time that I saw this business and shook my head wondering why, in this day and age of laptops, iPads and Home Internet, we could possibly need a LAN Gaming Center? In comes Tim MacRae, passionate owner of the Center to explain to me that his vision is to not just make games available to the public on super cool and fast computers, but to build community. In fact he explained that the irony is that as much as people experience online gaming and can chat on mic, there simply is no replacement for being physically in the same room as someone in a comfortable chair doing your best to obliterate the competition! Also games come and go and get updated which can be quite expensive. He eliminates the need to keep updating because his machines always have the latest versions of the most popular games. The Node also has theme nights where people dress up or have special entertainment while playing. The Node also always participates at ComiCon too each and every year. They have now been open over 10 years I believe! Incredible especially when the past 5 years have been deep recession years. The secret must be the quality equipment and friendly service that they provide. I am glad that they are part of Calgary's business scene.

Calgary's go-to gaming/internet cafe. 5.50 per hour, 4 for members, 50 for membership that comes with 10 hours. 70 to add 20 hours. Computers are decent, chairs are a little old and sometimes the cleanliness could be improved (wiping down keyboards, mice, table). One washroom in the back of the building. Drinks are a bit expensive but you can bring your own water bottle.
