Worst shopping experience ever! Tried to exchange an item that was bought online @Sporting life. There was NO item in Anderson store in spite of the online inventory was clearly showing the item in stock. What's a point to have an online inventory if it's not up to date? MY time wasted to drive to the store to find out. OK, fine, things happen... move on Well, it' was not end of the story. They @Anderson Sporting life double charged me instead of processing a refund! Called them and was told to come to the store to correct THEIR error (or maybe it was not an error at all but an attempted fraud?). So now I have to go to the store AGAIN just to make things right that THEY made wrong! Let's say if a customer was out of town, then what? And BTW do we still have to avoid unnecessary face-to-face contacts as much as possible or not? Unbelievable! As per receipt: double charged by Ashley Geoff, authorized by George. THE store manager Jennifer Wiebe.

I have purchased another jacket from here 1) because I love the jacket 2) because I live sporting life! This location has great selection and everything seems to come in my size. The staff are very helpful, the new hires are great to deal wife and driven. The store is always neat and tidy and there is order! It’s great to see millennials genx and baby boomers getting along! Nice job everyone!
Placed an online order. Took 4 weeks to arrive. The communication from Sporting Life throughout was awful. They were blaming Canada Post the whole time, while Canada Post were saying they hadn't received the goods from Sporting Life yet. I ended up receiving 4 packages from another company in the same area of Ontario that the Sporting Life parcel shipped from in the same time that was also shipped through Canada Post. One was ordered 5 days after the Sporting Life order and was received within 10 days of ordering. My conclusion is that Canada Post were correct in this case. The matter would have been made better if the communication from Sporting Life was better. But when communicating with them they never seemed to know the status of my order. After 10 days waiting for my order, they even told me the order had been shipped. Then I spoke to Canada Post and they told me Sporting Life didn't provide them with the goods until 3 weeks after the order was placed. This would make sense after the shipping timeline that occurred.
I showed up 45 min before my skis were scheduled to be ready for pickup and was told it would be another hour until they were ready (so really only 15 min late). No worries as I was early anyways. Warren (working in the ski shop section), didn't want me to be bothered to wait around so instead he offers to drive my skis across town when they are ready a couple hours later. Literally drops them off at my door at 9am at night when his shift ends. That guy is pure gold. Sporting Life, you have my business for life or as long as you keep Warren employed and happy. Seriously, that was probably the best customer experience I have had from any purchase this entire year. Well done Warren!
Love this store! Today me and my family spent more than 4 hours there. The customer service is of the highest quality, excellent. If they don't have something you want. The employee's have gone out of their way to help you. This is one of the best sport store in Calgary. Also love the location.
Worst curbside pick up experience ever. No one picked up a phone call for curbside pickup order.. called 3 times, gave up and went inside the store. What's the point to have that service..? The girl brought my order said she was too busy.. There is no other car at the pickup parking lot tho... I have used curbside pick up at other stores so many times and never had problems expect this store.. so disappointed.
Holy hell. If I order something from. SportChek it's ready for pickup or shipped the same day. If you order something from Sporting Life you can expect it to ship a month later. Useless.
Was shopping for new ski equipment for my daughter and had a very very poor experience: we waited 45 minutes for someone to help. Very obvious that we wanted help, yet 2 staff members walked away and disappeared, and a 3rd sat and watched a customer (who had come in after us yet been acknowledged first) waiting for his boots to cool from the fitter - that staffer looked right at us as my daughter was sitting on the "fitting chair" and still didn't even acknowledge us. I know things are busy and covid makes things challenging, but we tried to be patient. 45 minutes is too long: we went elsewhere.
