I have been with both Shaw and Telus in the past and signed my current contract with Shaw because I've found the company to have had exceptional customer service in the past. However, the last few times I've contacted Shaw for customer service support has me thinking twice about that. I've had pretty horrible agents on the chat line recently. For instance, I switched phones a few months ago and had forgotten my username for the app. The chat agent that picked up my request for this was memorably bad. After 1.5 hours of back and forth, the only response I could get from them was \I can't help you unless you have your ShawID\ (aka your username). I finally explicitly mentioned that I was the primary account holder, and didn't understand why they couldn't ask me for the answers to my security questions instead of insisting for my username which I had forgotten. They then asked me what my security questions were, not for the answers. Luckily I knew the answers that I've always given the Shaw agents and just said the answers instead. They then were able to access my account, but told me they had to take a break and would transfer me to another agent for the rest of the work needed. I had been on the chat line for 2 hours at this point and was not surprised by the agents total disregard for customer service. The next agent fixed the issue within 15 minutes with no problems. I have had great experiences in the past with Shaw, but have found that within the last 2 years, I am having more and more experiences like this. With Shaw prices being so comparable to Telus, I likely won't be staying with Shaw once my contract is up. Both companies have bad customer service now so there really isn't a distinguishing piece for me to remain with Shaw. May as well take advantage of those ew sign up\ bonuses if there's no reason to stay loyal anymore.

WIFI is so bad cannot even reach into my room. customer service is also very bad. Shaw cable is so bad. if 2 devices are connected WIFI will be weak. customer service is bad pt2. i will be switching to telus honestly

The 4k blue curve is horrible!! The sound keeps dropping and the picture pixelated every 5 min. Terrible equipment! Shaw is fully aware of the tech issues, and say they are working on it! In the meantime I am paying over 200 / month for a service that SUCKS!! SAVE YOURSELF A HEADACHE AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!!
