Robert Sweep carries the coolest and most unique home goods in all of Calgary. I feel like I'm shopping in Europe when I visit his store. Love the selection and I always enjoying chatting with the man himself.

I have shopped for many years at Robert Sweep in his old shop and now in his new one. He has always and still does run an excellent shop !

The owner (Robert) is very dishonest! He has basically stole my money. I previously bought a few items from Roberts old location (wasn’t cheap either) and called him to inquire about consigning my love seat, that I’d bought from him a years ago. He said no problem and I dropped the love seat off. A few months later I dropped into the store to see if he had any new nice couches on display. I found out that my couch had been sold and I wasn’t notified or anything. Out of courtesy, I didn’t even request cash back and didn’t mind using it as store credit. Fast forward a year ago, I noticed he changed locations and I went down to take a look. I spoke with Robert and to my knowledge I now had no credits. I was baffled. He explained to me that his new store had nothing to do with his last store and my 2000.00 credit is now gone. The company name is still the same and he won’t honor his credit. Robert sold my couch and kept my money and won’t give me a credit either! This is absurd. I can’t express how frustrated this makes me. This business should never be allowed to operate under such dishonest management. For the price he is selling things, he should have more respect and honesty. I’m speechless.
In the last two years we have bought several items ranging in price from 22 to just under 2000. In one case, a month after we bought some dinner settings, we noticed a crack in a plate and Sweep exchanged it without any questions. More recently I purchased an item and chipped it when I got home. Sweep insisted we return it for an exchange even though it was my fault. While they have always been very helpful and courteous when we have purchased even small items, the real test is when something goes wrong. In these cases I can only say that our experience has been excellent.
