Seems well staffed but no one offered to help. An item had two different prices listed and the staff initially didn’t want to honour the lower price saying that the old price was due to come down, but it hadn’t been done yet. Eventually honoured the price, but had to wait over 10 minutes for this to be sorted out. Really helpful cashier who completely saw where we were coming from and was very kind. Otherwise products seemed well priced.

Rented a Bissell carpet cleaner. All the units were present in the cage at the time. I asked for the cleanest one - the girl pointed to one and said that that one was ready to go (the others had just been returned). Paid nearly 100 and left. When I get home I noticed that the carpet on my SUVs trunk (were machine stood) was covered with human and dog hair. I lift the machine over and noticed clumps of this hair stuck in the wheels and in the bottom intake - the stuff was caked on!! I took time to do their job and cleaned it out before taking it in the home. After preparing the area I wanted to clean in my home, I started up the machine. Immediately the hot soapy water began spraying out of the the hole were the 'flow indicator' should have been. Looks as the the cap, or the whole flow indicator mechanism was simply gone. This incident is one of many that have clearly demonstrated to me that the store is poorly managed and staffed. Stay-Away and visit the competition.
All the one stars for poor customer service, you're the problem. Reno depot is/was perfectly fine. Developed my whole basement with 95% reno depot items, never had a single problem. Sometimes I go to home depot for something I cant find, big deal. But usually Reno depot is/was good enough. It was just nice to have a hardware store so close.
Nice selection of home improvement items, you may not find elsewhere, and in good quantity for the most part. Yes get rid of the stop signs. Plenty of staff that tried very hard to help but they were completely untrained had next to no product knowledge. They could not even tell me what the stores return policy was or whether the bathtub I purchased came with the drain trim, or where their drain trims were. I had to explain in detail what that was, and they seem confused when I pointed to the drain in the bathtub.
Been going to it regularly for several years now. Pretty much the only home improvement store in north Calgary that has really good sales - it is always worth watching their flyers. Staff have always been helpful when I've needed their help. Some different variety of stock compared to other stores as well.
What a ripoff store. We found the sticker price for garage motor and they gave us a wrong price and they won't agree so Lowe's has a better deal for same kind of garage motor The customer service is awful as well. No wonders they are closing down.
Was at the store Tuesday Nov 13 at 8 PM, found a great deal on a patio set on clearance but unfortunately we didn't have the right vehicle with us to transport it home that evening. I returned the following day to find the "sale" tag had been covered up with a new tag at a lesser discount. I asked to speak with a manager who quite abruptly told me that the price had changed and that they were not willing or able to honor the original sale price. As the store does price matching I dont believe this to be the truth as they can adjust pricing on other products. I suppose I now understand why this store is closing. Enjoy the unemployment line ***EDIT*** After a conversation with a "proper" manager the store agreed to sell the product at the advertised price. Still unhappy with the level of customer service and knowledge of the floor employees.
This store used to have great service. Recently the level of customer service had dropped significantly. Just had an employee call me an idiot to my face. As a contractor I'm sure that a retail sales associate knows much better than I do. Never again Reno Depot.
