I love this store. Great customer service, amazing product quality and selection always. I have their handmade Belgian flax duvet and also their hydro-cotton towels. The towels are a bit of heaven. They have a sale on right now which I recommend taking advantage of as their stuff is costly but worth every penny. It will be ending within the next week so keep that in mind:)

Pottery Barn is a great place to find small gifts for anyone who likes a more rustic look to their interior decor, but their prices can easily jump out of the average buyer’s price range. It is fine if they have a big sale on throughout the store; which gives you a change to find some excellent pieces. They do a great job of theming the whole store for the season and there are plenty of great pieces tucked into every corner of this location.
Horrible, non existent service. Employees abound chatting happily amongst themselves or fussing with putting up new lighting fixtures but not one could be bothered to acknowledge or say hi. Oh and the 2 women putting up the lighting should learn some basic wiring fundamentals.
Walked in with the intentions of buying a sectional for my place. It wasn’t busy, maybe a few other people in the store. During the 30 minutes I was walking around checking things out not one employee even spoke a word to me. They looked up from their conversations and then looked back down or continued on with what they were doing. You really get the feeling like if you’re not wearing your designer clothes that day, no one will give you the time of day. Bad brand representation, snooty, and an above you attitude. Won’t be returning. I’ll go to crate and barrel instead!
I'd love the staff to be a bit nicer. I get it isn't easy to work during the covid thing but still...
I just left the Pottery Barn location at Chinook Centre. I was in the store for approximately 15 minutes. I was at the front of the store in bedding and had several questions but waited for an associate. When I popped my head around the corner I saw two women associates chatting at the middle counter. We made eye contact and neither of them welcomed me nor said hello. They continued on with their personal conversation. I shook my head and left. I would have expected better. The only reason why I gave one star was because of visual merchandising. The rest of the stars would have been added had the layers of customer service been upheld to.
The staff are very attentive and friendly and more than willing to answer any questions you have about any of the items in their store. They are also extremely knowledgeable on styles and material types to suit your family and home. We bought a couple of things but felt under no pressure to do so. We feel that we were given excellent advice on suitable material types for a sofa which will be used in a house with young children and a dog. I appreciate that Pottery Barn is not the cheapest option in terms of furniture or home furnishings but from experience, I would rather buy a quality item once and know that it will last rather than buy lesser quality which simply doesn't last as well as I need it to. For me, a furniture purchase is a big deal - I buy it and I want it to last for years and years and I feel that's what I get with Pottery Barn pieces. For smaller budgets, there are very often ex-display pieces available in store at knock-down prices, typically 50-60% lower than the usual price. I've found this to be another good way to get excellent quality at very reasonable prices.
The ladies at pottery barn were very pleasant and helpful on the phone and just as good in person. Even though I was in grubby clothes from moving, they still treated me well. Top shelf customer service. Will return.
