Great experience with knowledgeable staff. Dialed in what I needed and it blew my mind what a custom fitting can do for your game. Full bag fitting is a lot of work so prepare yourself to play 54 holes of golf in 3hours, or break it up with 2 appointments. Can't wait to get my clubs.

Excellent experience overall. I would highly recommend Jeremy and the Modern Golf team in south Calgary. I went for new irons, and it was not a hard sell or brand driven. It was based on what I wanted to accomplish, how the clubs looked/felt/sounded and the data driven results in the simulator. Jeremy and the staff were great, including the resident pooch! I am looking forward to getting my new Ping irons out onto the course and have been recommending Modern Golf to a number of my friends and colleagues.
My fitting with MG Calgary has been the best fitting experience I have had in the industry bar none. I've had experiences through other fitting centers, golf courses, and different golf suppliers and this experience has been far and away superior to any. I did my fitting with Craig Dale, his knowledge of the game, ability to connect my game to the right equipment, measures he took to get to know me while making me feel comfortable and welcome were fantastic. I continue to drive from Edmonton to Calgary as I have not been able to find a comparable fitting center in area that I live, it is well worth the drive down the QE2. The center, staff, and technology are first class and would recommend this place above any other if you're looking to get fitted for equipment.
Modern Golf is a fantastic facility. Took a few lessons and a club fitting over the winter. Both were a great experience. Jeremy was the coach I worked with and he is very good. Didn’t try to overhaul my swing, he found ways to improve what I already had. The club fitting was also a great experience. I have not had new clubs in almost 20 years, just bought used sets and pieced together my bag. Jeremy had about 10 different irons to try, and about 6 drivers/fairway woods. Went through them all and showed me the data compared to my existing equipment. There was never pressure to buy. Overall a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone, a 30 handicapper or a 2 handicapper. Looking forward to working with Modern Golf and Jeremy for a long time.
I was looking for a spot that would take their time in working with my golfing abilities and not hand me a set of clubs with their eyes closed (that has been my experience with other golf stores and I was very disappointed with them). So when I walked in and met with Craig at the Calgary store, he took his time with me and found me a club and shaft that would help me improve my game. I was amazed how many permutations and combinations with different heads and shafts he made me try before narrowing down to the 'one' that fit my swing the best. He was extremely knowledgable and was very patient with me. I can't wait to go back to see him to get fitted with my driver. If you are looking to tryout of purchase new clubs, you must stop by here. I highly recommend this place.
Could not have been a better experience for my iron fitting. Did not feel rushed, hit several different head and shaft combinations on Trackman and was taken through the numbers. Was not limited to one particular manufacturer of head or shaft. They had them all. Patiently adjusted combinations based on my feedback. My fitting happened to be outdoors which is an option at certain times. Craig and Jeff were extremely knowledgeable. After the clubs come in, they also check all the specs to be accurate and will adjust no charge to your liking if necessary. Cannot recommend Modern Golf more highly, this is the thorough club fitting experience A-Z that Calgary was previously lacking. Do yourself a favour and book a fitting. Fitting fee is waived if you order clubs. Thanks again guys.
The entire process was fantastic, from booking, to reminders and follow up. Phil was terrific(although a leafs fan) he definitely helped me ,suggesting what clubs could improve my game. Facility was very clean, definitely will be returning and would recommend to golfers!
Even with covid going on, I had a fun and great experience. Things were clean, organized, and laid out nicely. This statement goes for both the golf fitting and covid practices. I was offered and tried multiple brands of products by knowledgeable staff. Much better than going to a certain big box store. I got a good tip for getting a fitting done. Even during cooler times, wear shorts as you’ll work up a good sweat. The Dormie selection was great to see too!
