MemEx had always been a great place to get local computer parts, and these days that is no different./

This has been my favorite place to buy computer parts/accessories and service my computers for years. Knowledgeable and patient staff, great prices on parts and labour keep me coming back. They match lower advertised price so it makes sense to go there and pick up the item right away. Plus, keep the money in the local economy.

I had purchased a gaming computer at a location in Edmonton for my grandson. It recently stopped working so i advised him to take it to a location in Calgary to check it out. He dropped it off at the Dalhousie station location where they are going to repair it under warranty. Great to know you stand behind the products you sell. I will definitely be back, Thanks.

Like everyone else working from home, when your computer sends out the warning signs of nearing the end - I could not risk waiting for a full failure to replace it. The Sale Rep asked great questions. I explained how I use technology and he show me options. He was clear and used plain language on how each unit would suit my needs for today and well into the future. Also, I needed a new mic for our podcast, The Recruitment Flex (check it out!) so I bought the Rode NT-USB. It was more expensive than buying it on Amazon - but so glad I bought from Memory Express. Have you ever tried to return something to Amazon? After hours of trying to get it to work, I took it back to the store. They tested it and yes, it was defective. They replaced it and I was on my way with no fuss in under 15 minutes! If there was a 5-star Plus category - I would give it to them. BTW - I had been to other retailers as well, who should just close up shop, they cant compete.

Shania has been an absolute GEM when it came to my recent hard drive failure I experienced. She went above and beyond to explain things clearly and get me a solution that prevented me from losing my data! I was also assisted by Chris in Service when we did an initial SMART test on the drive! You guys were fantastic, continue providing amazing customer service :)

Excellent service as always just picking up power cable and dust off today. Bought a laptop not to long ago from memory express. Good staff and easy access.

Update: I've increased my original review to a 5 star. Kudos to Marcus, the Manager at Memory Express, who called to follow up on my experience. He took it upon himself to do a deep dive to determine what was causing the issues with the new laptop that I had returned. He directed me to a Microsoft issue and after further follow up with Microsoft support, we were able to identify and solution the problem. Because of his due diligence, I re-purchased the laptop. My faith in Memory Express has been restored...Thank you Marcus! Have used Memory Express in the past and had a good experience, this latest left me with a bad taste. Bought a laptop and within the initial setup there was another name and gmail address popping up. ME had me bring it back in to re-image. Second attempt, same issue. I spoke with support at the manufacturer who advised me to exchange for a new unit. ME was sold out of that laptop but offered to look at similar units, all were 100 to 200 more. Asked whether we could adjust the price based on the extra trips in to ME and calls made to the manufacturer...in other words, make it right....Nope. Then I guess I'll get a refund. Here's your refund...Next. Not even a 'sorry for your troubles'?
