Had Lock Surgeon install a wifi deadbolt on my house. The technicians are professional and very helpful setting everything up. Works on my phone and tablet. Very impressed with level of service and technical knowledge. Highly recommended

Terrible business practices - do not use them. We went to Lock Surgeon because they were able to send a technician to repair a broken window lock a lot sooner than other companies. It wasn't possible to get an accurate quote over the phone - they gave vague numbers saying there was a cost for the technician to come out, plus a cost for his time (which they didn't say), plus "additional costs". The total cost was 600 when the prior similar repairs were \u003c300. Part of the high cost was the technician said he had to drive across town to get the part and charged us for the time even though he said it is a common part and others who work at Lock Surgeon have the same window. The technician also damaged the window frame. He said it was the only way to fix the window, again despite claiming it is a common part and others at Lock Surgeon have had the same issue. When we mentioned the damage to the company, they said I told him to damage it which I obviously did not do. When we confronted Lock Surgeon about the unreasonable costs and the damage, they told us it was our fault for not understanding their costs and for telling the technician to damage our window. Lock Surgeon's business practices are consistent with a company looking to rip people off and never have repeat business.

Purchased three key blanks and was charged 60 for them without them even being cut. Returned them and was charged 12 restocking. Same three key blanks at Heads Lock and Key was 15.

This guys are VERY EXPENSIVE!!! We were charged 1,272.87 to replace our door closer. It was for the front door of our warehouse which we don't own we rent Lesson here is to get a written quote!! They sure don't rely on repeat business

The office quoted us a service at the cost of parts only due to their error. Instead, the "technician" on-site refused to leave until my wife paid the full amount including his labour. The office conveniently forgot making us the deal (again, as a result of their first error). Atrocious company. BUYER BEWARE YOU WILL BE THE NEXT VICTIM. The litany of terrible reviews like mine is not an anomoly - this company will SCAM AND INTIMIDATE YOU LIKE THEY DID US.

I manage several buildings and switched to Lock Surgeon. Fantastic service, very well trained technicians, always on time. Part I like the best is they can do it all. Locks, doors, access control, window bars, electrical, auto sliding doors. They are a bit more expensive but you pay for what you get. If you need a pro job done. Call these guys.

Got a chip key made to my car. Very friendly and professional. They had 3 option unlike the dealer. Dealer wanted 550 and there price was about the same for comparable product. Option 2 was 195. They also had a cheaper option that I went for 148 as my car is older. Only took about 10 mins. I was in and out with my new key. Works great. Highly recommend

DO NOT use this company as they are exorbitantly expensive and seek ways to pad the bill. This company has deceptive business practices. When questioned about the potential cost of the job I was told that the call out fee was 149. This only gets the technician to the door and nothing else. All I wanted was a door sweep replaced. It took the technician less than an hour to replace this sweep. I was told that parts and labour were additional expenses, but I didn’t realize that labour charges started at 195/hour. I have a doctorate and don’t earn at this hourly rate. Then to add insult to injury I was charged a further 27.51 for shop supplies which included "electronic communication and payment acceptance device". I could have sent an e-transfer. Additionally, this extra charge included "truck, gas, insurance, vehicle maintenance", so what then is the purpose of the initial callout fee if it doesn’t cover that? This company has many reviews where management mentioned having highly qualified technicians and yet in talking with my technician, he mentioned that he was a drywall installer and had lost his job as a result of COVID issues. Obviously qualified ... NOT. After receiving the bill, I rang the company to query the huge cost and was haughtily told “I told you the callout fee didn’t include parts and labour”, so the company is not interested in customer satisfaction. I had no idea that the estimate would be more than double what was actually charged. I wish I had read the reviews prior to the service callout.
