I requested a service call to repair a Fujitsu air conditioning unit in a condo unit. The service technician showed up at the condo without any advance notice; therefore could not get access to the unit and left. A new appointment was schedule for the next day but this time the technician did not have the unit # or phone # of the tenant, my daughter, and took another 20 minutes to retrieve this information from me. The technician repaired the unit in 40 minutes, this is documented via text message time stamps. The quality of the work by the technician was good, the unit properly functioned after the service was complete. Gateway requires you provide them a credit card # before providing an estimate, scheduling or completing the work so beware you will pay whatever they decide to charge you. After completing the work Gateway sent me an invoice for 3 hours which included 0.5 hours for the service call which was not scheduled, they agreed the 0.5 hours was a mistake so just move it to the next day rather than removing from the invoice. After several emails with Gateway they sent me an bill for 451.53, this included 245 materials and truck charges, which is over the top. Regardless 451/0.66hr (40minutes) is equivalent to 673/hour. You can decide if this is good value.
