Carl and Bente Birkkjaer came from Denmark in 1975, combining Denca and Canada our company name Denca was created. They were the pioneers of bringing modern European design and danish master craftsmanship to Western Canada. Daughter Heidi and husband Dom are following in her parent’s footsteps and moving Denca into the future. Our 2nd generation family business that specializes in design, cabinetry manufacturing, we supply and install appliances, plumbing fixtures and lighting. Denca is Calgary’s largest custom cabinet manufacturer featuring a 30,000 sq ft facility and 5,000 sq ft showroom. We have invested in some of the best machinery so we can make our own quality products, including a CNC machine and PUR edgebander making many of our products water resistant. A 4 air-controlled spray booth, in house veneer program and many custom benches. We offer shorter lead times and no shipping delays. We can service customers quickly and efficiently and have a support and service system in place right here in Calgary. Denca believes in BE! LIVE! I've used Denca Cabinets a few times over the years and they have provided exceptional service every time. They put in a beautiful new countertop for me. The quality was excellent and came at a very reasonable price. On another occasion, they repaired a broken drawer. The staff were punctual, very knowledgeable and courteous. It's so nice to deal with a company that stands behind their product. My father did renovations before retiring, and he only used Denca for his renovations because he said his clients were never disappointed. They always got a beautiful kitchen. When he moved to BC, he wanted a Denca kitchen in his new home and Denca delivered. It was the nicest room in the house! I won't hesitate to call Denca for any future projects.

Have lived in our home for 30 years. Renovated by the previous owner in 1984. They had Denca do the kitchen, and it served both them and us well. I'd heard they offered a guarantee on parts and when one shelf bracket and one guide stopped working a number of years ago, I went there for replacement. There was never a charge (and I was willing to pay). So, after 35 years of use, we decided to renovate. Denca was our first (and only) call. Jess came to assess and measure, and came up with a design considering our needs. She walked us through the steps and expectations (six to eight weeks) and broke down our budget. Happy with her input and her ability to modify, we signed. We are glad we did. Ron, our contractor was the main contact and he communicated the steps and was always prompt, punctual and thorough. He took up discussions/issues with his subcontractors, informing us of arrival days and times. The kitchen is done and it looks great. We are very happy with our choice(s). Probably not the least expensive, but the results are great and we are very happy...very happy to be rid of the 80s coral countertops too! Well done Jess. Well done Ron. Well done Denca Cabinets.

Absolutely terrible experience. We trusted Denca with a big job, paid a lot of money thinking that they would do quality work. In reality, they ended up ruining a twenty thousand dollar countertop stone which was installed and sat on a kitchen island built by Denca. They refused to do anything about it. Extremely dissatisfied and would never recommend.

Poor communication and service. Wish they would have been more upfront that they didn’t want the business. I was strung along for a month trying to get quotes and sketches before giving up.
