My girlfriend talked about this place when she works downtown. But since she works from home now, it's a lot harder to get her sandwich from here. But today, we made the trek downtown to try it out. The italiano sandwich was really good and the latte as well! The atmosphere in there looked really cool and would definitely venture to back to sit down and have lunch. Sandwich and cheesecake were a little expensive but ya know once in awhile. Also to support businesses in these trying times is worth it too!

This cafe is very nice, relaxing and the man running the til was very informative. He had told me the Monte Cristo was a very nice drink. I admit it's actually very delicious. I will come back and I do recommend.

Caffé Trieste is a relaxing oasis in Calgary's busy downtown core. The ambiance is casual yet elegant. There are no hot plates, but the menu of appetizers, salads, and sandwiches have an authentic Italian flavour and freshness. The interior features comfortable leather couches as well as tables with café chairs. The crystal chandeliers add to the ambiance. The window looks down on a busy Stephen Avenue intersection yet remains private at this height. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. There are 'dolce' desserts for purchase as well. There aren't many cafés around that will serve Brunello di Montalcino by the glass! Bellissimo! Access is on the third level of the CORE shopping centre.
Always a favourite place to come to and relax when I visit The Core. Not on the menu, but they certainly know how to do a Flat White properly. Thank you!
