Marincu Palace is an architectural monument of local interest, located in the center of Calafat, which houses the Museum of Art and Etnography. The edifice was introduced in the National Heritage, on the list of Historic Monuments in 2003. The recently rebuilt palace (2001-2002) belongs to the French neoclassicism style with baroque and rococo accents and with the influences of the Romanian architecture from the beginning of the 20th century. It is remarkable by the impressive dimensions, but also by the finesse of the details.

Construit la începutul secolului XX ,Palatul transformat în Muzeu de Artă și Etnografie in 1960, te cucerește prin arhitectura și stilul său eclectic,prin frumusețea și finețea ornamentelor,ineditul tapetelor și plafoanelor dar și prin întreaga colecție de artă,în marea majoritate contemporană, prin prezența elementelor specifice satului românesc organizate într-o autentică gospodărie. Aici istoria ne vorbește prin tablouri și o serie de documente autentice.
