I wouldn’t recommend Bijou as a wedding venue company to anyone. Cain Manor is beautiful so I can’t disagree with the high ratings given by local guides but I suspect the rating would be much lower if they had actually booked a wedding with Bijou. It isn’t your wedding it is theirs - everything is on their terms and conditions and no flexibility unless it means then getting more money from you. Wedding planner? What wedding planner? It is a tool. There was no advice or value add from the staff. My florist gave me the most useful advice around how to decorate the venue. In terms of guest rooms. You are responsible. If your guests aren’t happy with their room then you pay them any refund. Bijou in their contract are not responsible. You are. The contract is one sided. Read it carefully as I bet it doesn’t say anything about what Bijou is responsible for. Just what you as the bride and groom are responsible for. When they cancelled our wedding we were still liable for 80% of the cancellation fees. I would also suggest before booking you ask for a copy of their business insurance. We found to our peril that it wasn’t comprehensive enough to cover COV-ID type situations. My advice. There are lots of other beautiful venues. Think well and hard before making a reservation.

An extremely attractive venue for a wedding. It's not the largest venue but it is more than adequate for an average sized event. Cosy would describe it well. It's quite rustic and has a barn feel to it with lots of oak beams. The staff were extremely attentive and perform superbly in turning the room around from a wedding to a breakfast setting. Each member of staff obviously knows their task as the transformation is slick. The setting of the venue is nothing short of gorgeous with fantastic photo opportunities in the garden.

Don't be fooled by the picturesque location of Cain Manor. Our wedding was cancelled by Bijou Weddings due to the Covid-19 pandemic and they have been less than polite, helpful or empathetic throughout the whole experience. They have charged us an 80% cancellation fee despite them being the ones to cancel. Then when postponement has been offered, it has not been like for like and couples are all being offered different options. There is no consistency. On top of it all, Bijou Weddings have forgotten that it is OUR weddings they have cancelled and are essentially telling us to like and it and lump it with the options given. Do NOT waste your time on these liars and thieves! According to them, they don't answer to the CMA and they also do not need to refund for a service they have failed to provide. So much additional and unnecessary stress and anxiety at an already horrible time.
