Absolutely delightful 'typical Italian' cafe. We had lunch there today and everything was just perfect. The food, the coffee, the ice cream and most importantly the really welcoming people. Also I was able to buy a packet Fregula Tostata - a favourite pasta and hard to source in Newcastle. There is blue badge parking very close by in Woodbine Road or obviously, if parked appropriately, on the double yellow lines in Woodbine Road. We love you Cafe Corsaro.

The most authentic Italian cafe and food in the city. What a great find. As soon as you walk in, there's a warm welcome. We went in for a coffee, which was great, but ended up having the most amazing minestrone soup, mushroom risotto and toastie. All for less than we'd usually pay for a couple of coffees and a piece of cake. Sorry I wish I'd taken pictures, we were too busy enjoying the food. Having said the taste could never be appreciated in a picture

I swear I could find out this place is a front for the Mafia, and I wouldn't care it's that good. They could be fitting a snitch for some cement shoes in the back and I'd just be gorging myself on their pistachio cake. Come here and feel like part of The Family.
