Cafe au Lait

We were looking forward to our breakfast at Cafe au Lait, having scouted potential independent breakfast places the day before. We ordered two veggie breakfast with poached eggs. Those came almost as soft boiled. The coffee was really pretty but weak and lukewarm, we had to ask for another shot. When you spend 28 for a breakfast for two which is above the average both in a Bath & London, you expect the quality to be above average. Overall, it was a disappointing experience. We won’t go back nor would we recommend it. It’s a great place for an Instagram shot but forget it if you want your stomach to be happy. Also, your staff need to be trained better, one of the ladies was running in the stairs with a sausage on a knife and almost bumped into me when I went back upstairs from the bathroom with the knife pointed towards me. We tried to give a feedback in store when asked how the meal was but where met with a bit of attitude from the waitress. Therefore we are giving this place a two star instead of a three star review.

Amazing large breakfast well presented and really tasty. A little pricey for 2 but well worth it. Will come back. Get the halloumi fries and vanilla milkshake. They are amazing. Place was spotless and clean.

Scrumptious food, refreshing drinks and had a beautiful spot inside but still sat with the warming sun on me. Highly recommend going for their brunch food, definitely hit the right spot!

Not worth the penny if you want a good brunch. 8.25 for a mains, with salmon not fresh and comes with bones and poached eggs that are fully cooked. Don’t recommend, there’s better food around

Very nice Coffee and Brunch spot when you are close to the Main Bath Station . I am barista and I can really appreciate good coffee ! Their coffee was great, nice interior, friendly chill staff and the Pancakes with Bacon and Syrup Brunch Bun We ordered was to die for Very Good experience Highly Recommended
