Slightly upmarket café. Ideal place to stop, rest and treat yourself. There's a great selection of cakes to go with a tea, coffee or hot chocolate (with whipped cream and marshmallows). Hot food is good too particularly the soups. Soft drinks are available; the usual fizzy junk plus a few 'adult' bottled drinks, like lightly sparkling elderflower if you're feeling posh. The lovely outdoor seating is within the old, red brick stable courtyard. Staff are efficient, polite and helpful.
The scones are excellent, freshly baked and well proportioned! The setting in Astley Park is a delight. The hall is definitely worth looking round, after which you can relax in the walled garden
Love all the art work of local artists and the cakes were gorgeous but it was very cold inside.
Great selection of cakes, generous meals and nice hot drinks. Free parking and not a long way off the motorway - a great alternative to service stations! Lovely surroundings and friendly enough staff. What's not to like!
