Over the past 18 years I have had cats, rabbit horses and dogs from Freshfields..staff are lovely and very caring. Don't understand people making negative remarks about not taking dogs. Maybe they cant accomodate any more. We were checked out and made sure we were suitable. They always need donations of blankets, bedding and food

Very good place and friendly people helpful. I had 2 cats from there well looked after the staff are very caring and always put the safety and well-being of the animals first, and vet people who are looking for a pet and only let the right person with the best pet well professionally run and well documented paperwork. Would recommend the first place to look for your perfect companion.

Absolutely brilliant, such care towards animals and their owners too. Stunning location high above and overlooking Caernarfon Bay with a Snowdonia backdrop. Thank you so much.

I have supported and donated to freshfields animal rescue in caernarfon for many years Inc there shops in both portmadog and Barmouth. I will NO longer be doing so. I have recently found out, freshfields * NO longer take in Dogs*!! Since when? This is a huge disappointment to me. Where do abandoned dogs and dogs that have lost there owners go now?? They told me freshfields take them in, in Liverpool.. That is in England!! I'm hoping there is another rescue l can support in N. Wales 󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. I for one cannot favour one animal over another. Especially when freshfields in caernarfon take in horses and other animals.. Yet no room or facilities for dogs. That smacks of favouritism. I now only give 3 stars instead of 5. But l Do hear the volenteer staff there are dedicated and helpful.
