One of my favourite little castles. Amazing place to visit. Very cute little walk round the hill. (Ps it's hard to park here) You can climb right up on the tops of the walls and see the amazing views around. Totally free to go to at any time of day.
Past may times, and decided to explore as I had time, lovely place, view is amazing, not a lot of the castle left, but enough to give you an idea of its size and layout.
Nice walk up to the ruins.... great to read about the history !
Caergwrle Castle is a remarkable remnant of a beautiful Castle overlooking the historic place of Caergwrle in Wales. Unfortunately not really easy to reach for a handicapped person, though taken well care of by the authorities to remember the history. The castle is surrounded by verdant trees and plants of different species offering a wide range of natural beauty for hiking and outdoor activities.
